About Amber-Jade Sanderson Main Image

My name is Amber-Jade Sanderson and I am your local Member for Morley.

I am a Morley local. I grew up here, I went to school at John Forrest Secondary College, and I still live locally with my family. I love our community and I understand it. Whether it's fighting for and delivering cost of living relief for you, or fighting for the redevelopment of the Morley Galleria, I will always do what's right for Morley.

Before being elected as your Local Member for Morley in 2017, I was elected to the Upper House of WA Parliament in 2013, as a representative for the East Metropolitan Region.

During my 12 years representing this area, I have learnt so much about our community. We have fantastic schools, wonderful sporting clubs, a vibrant culture and community, and some of the best local businesses in WA.

I am proud to have delivered major investment in new infrastructure for our community with the Morley to Ellenbrook line, including brand new stations now open at Morley and Noranda, delivering world-class public transport right on our doorstep and creating thousands of local jobs.

As a local parent, I understand how important it is that every child has access to the best education and facilities. Since being elected in 2017, I have delivered major upgrades to every single public school in our electorate, and I hope to deliver more upgrades in the future.

Since 2021, I have been proud to be part of the Cook Labor Government's Ministerial team, now as your Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation; Manufacturing; Skills and TAFE; Pilbara.

I will always do what's right by Morley, and every Western Australian.

I look forward to seeing you out in the community soon.
